Bring Your Kid To Work

IEC hosts Northern Students – Nov. 1

Our staff welcomed 2 Students from Northern High School last week for Bring your Kid to Work day.
Emily Crowe and Payton General went through a variety of training and activities throughout the day and
received a first-hand look at what safety training is required for workers to work safely at their jobs.

SIFp = Serious Injury or Fatality Potential

Recently the Safety Partnership has directed the IEC to begin collecting the learnings from Serious Injury or Fatality potential. By September the IEC hopes to have a collection of recent incidents where nobody was hurt, but the potential was very high for a fatality or serious injury.

Watch for a communication about the launch of this new capability in the IEC database!

Here is a copy of this calendar:

Happy New Year from the IEC!

IEC staff are back after Christmas break with regular scheduled training. We were able to train a number of workers over the holidays by request and that worked out very well.

Looking forward to all enjoying a safe workplace in 2016 where nobody gets hurt!
